Our May Focus
 - David Fox discovered his passion for golf at the age of 35 years old, while on vacation with his dad and grandpa. He has always been intrigued by the sport, but it wasn't until that trip that he fell in love with it and has been hooked ever since. He now is a member at Cassel Hills in Vandalia where he plays frequently. In 1992, he won the First Flight Club Championship at Riverbend Golf Club.

His love of golf isn’t just limited to playing - he has been an active volunteer with Miami Valley Golf Association for the past 10 years. He will volunteer for any position available but typically enjoys scoring. He also volunteers as a course rater.

He retired after 30 years from Xerox Corporation and enjoys volunteering in other ways including with the First Tee program, helping to introduce young people to the game of golf and eventually became a Head Coach.

But golf isn’t his only interest. David and his wife had raised horses at home, and he recently became involved in a local therapeutic horse ranch. It’s a new challenge, but one he is eager to take on. And when he isn’t on the golf course or with the horses, he enjoys target shooting, especially at long distances. He used his skills to hunt ground hogs on the ranch, but these days it is just a hobby.

Thanks for your dedication to the game and to Miami Valley Golf!
