Pinehurst, N.C. will host the 2010 U.S. Girls Junior Championship
from July 19-24.

The tournament will be held at the The Country Club of North Carolina.

Applications are available online at
USGA.org -- the USGA's official website. Entry is open to amateur female golfers who have not reached their 18th birthday by July 24, 2010 and have an up-to-date USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 18.4.

The entry fee is only $25 and includes an 18-hole qualifying round at one of 33 sectional qualifying sites across the country. These qualifying rounds are conducted form June 14 to June 29. Participants may choose the site and date most convenient to their schedule.

The only
qualifier in Ohio will be held Prestwick Country Club in Uniontown (about 15 miles south of Akron) on June 23. There is also a qualifier in Louisville on June 28 at Standard Country Club.

This tournament is a great opportunity for junior girls to meet other serious golfers, test their games and play at an elite level.

Remember these questions before you register to play:

Do you have a handicap of 18.4 or lower?

Will you still be 17 or younger by July 24?

Are you willing to compete with other talented players?

Do you want the thrill of competing in the National Championship with top U.S. and International players.

Do you want to be seen by college coaches from great schools from all parts of the country?

If so, the USGA wants you to enter your local qualifier!
