Alter_GirlsThe Final Small School District Championship, the Girls D2 Division, was the tightest, as we saw the teams from Seven Hills and Bishop Fenwick High Schools tie for the 2nd team qualifying position and three lady golfers tie for the two qualifying positions as individuals.  The team tie did not require a playoff as the tie breaker was determined by the fifth players score which saw Seven Hills prevail as their number five player was six shots better than Bishop Fenwick’s fifth player.  Taking the low team honors by 14 shots was Alter High School.  In the individual race to the state it took three playoff holes to determine the second position as Hope Manning from Southeastern prevailed over Sophia Rush from Bishop Fenwick.  Lyndia Dietz from Botkins claimed the 1st Position and Medalist honors on the first playoff hole.

The Girls D2 State Championship begins this Friday on the Gray Course at OSU Golf Club.
