- As March ends, the weather has us feeling like we've fast-forwarded into the middle of May. It's evident that many turf and golf staffs members are already knee-deep in the early start to the season, attending to numerous requirements that are typically weeks ahead of schedule. This trend of an early start seems to be becoming the new normal in our area. 

In the face of such unpredictable weather, the adaptability of our turf and golf staffs shines through. Despite the challenges posed by Mother Nature's whims, they possess the remarkable ability to swiftly adjust and shift gears. Undoubtedly, it must be frustrating and stressful for them to witness their meticulously planned year needing adjustments due to unforeseen weather circumstances. Yet, our Turf and Golf Staffs, once it's "go time," they rise to the occasion, seamlessly navigating through the season. 

Their dedication to their craft goes beyond the confines of a typical 9-5 schedule. They often find themselves fully immersed in their work from dawn till dusk, seven days a week. It's not merely a job for them; it's a calling—a calling that intertwines seamlessly with their lives. However, their loved ones also adapt to their unique schedules, understanding that their profession isn't bound by traditional work hours. 

As they maneuver through the season, it's crucial for them not to overlook the importance of carving out time for themselves and their loved ones. While each facility operates differently, and philosophies may vary, prioritizing the wellbeing of our turf and golf staff, given the demands of their roles and the expectations of various stakeholders, must remain at the forefront of our minds. 

Let's collectively make a concerted effort to check in on them, offering support as they navigate the highs and lows of their profession. Our game is indeed wonderful and provides us with numerous rewards, so let's extend our gratitude to those who make it all possible. They are the backbone of our golfing community, and their dedication deserves recognition and support.
