 - Austin Greaser, a 22-year-old senior from Vandalia and at the University of North Carolina, is currently ranked No. 3 on the PGA TOUR University rankings (See Ranking) (FAQ on what rankings status). As a Tar Heel, Greaser has achieved two-time All-American status and has won two collegiate victories, as well as ten top-five finishes and sixteen top-10 finishes in 36 starts. He won last year's Western Amateur and was the runner-up in the 2021 U.S. Amateur, won the Ohio Amateur in 2020 and has been awarded our Miami Valley Golf Player of the Year award in 2020, 2021 & 2022.In the upcoming Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte, May 4th though 7th, Greaser will make history as the first amateur to compete since 2003, when Bill Haas, the 2011 FedExCup champion, played at Quail Hollow Club while he was attending Wake Forest. |
