After a long season of matches with a great deal of rescheduling due to our regions wet spring. We are finally down to the Championship Match of the MVGA Interclub. The Championship Match will be contested between last years champion club, Sycamore Creek CC (right) and Walnut Grove CC.

Novotny Tees off in the US Senior Amateur

Long time golf community caretaker and champion golfer, Dave Novotny, plays in the US Senior Amateur this upcoming week. His first round Tee Time is today at 8:05 off of #10 at Old Chatham Golf Club in Durham, N.C. After this weekends 36 Hole Stroke Play Qualifying the field of 156 will be cut to the top 64 for Match Play.

Ladies Classic Monday at Miami Valley

The Annual DDWGA Classic will be held this Monday at Miami Valley Golf Club. The event is a 1pm shotgun start. There are two competitions of play. The first, is a Four Person Better Ball with one net and one gross score constituting the team hole score. The second, for those qualified Pin Winners, is a Low Net or Low Gross Award.

Results from the Masters Event at WildWood

Thanks to those who played in our Masters Event at Wildwood Golf Club this past Monday. We hope you had had a good experience with us.

Our next event is at NCR CC (North Course) on Monday, September 23rd followed shortly after by the season ending Celebration at Dayton CC on October 7th.

IntraState Matches Amend Team Composition

Begun in 1999, and now contested bi-annually, the Ohio Intrastate is a 18 hole stroke play competition between our five Ohio Golf Associations. For the 2019 contest, teams now will be comprised of six players, two Mid Ams, two Seniors and two Lady Mid Ams.

Teams from the Miami Valley are selected primarily from our cumulative player of the year point list. This years event will be hosted by the Toledo District Golf Association at Lima Shawnee Country Club and be held on Friday, October 4th with the practice round and evening welcome reception on Thursday, October 3rd.

If you are close to the top in your respective category, save the date, as we only have one final opportunity for points to be awarded at the Sr & Mid Am Metropolitan at Springfield CC.

Nearly half of all golfers will never break 100, according to the National Golf Foundation. Less than that will every 90, and only 5% will ever break 80. Golf is not an easy game, so you shouldn't beat yourself up about it. Period
