- This Saturday Marks the 300^th “From the Short Grass” email to our Miami Valley Golf Community.  Thank you for staying in touch with us and thanks to all the people who have contributed to this newsletter.  When we sent our first tracked newsletter on Saturday, January 13, 2018 we sent the newsletter to 17.5K email addresses of which 20% opened it. Last week FTSG email was sent to 15.5K email addresses of which 46% opened it.  Our yearly average open rates have climbed steadily from 18% in 2018 to now averaging 44% in 2023.  

Our system does not have many bells and whistles, and frankly it’s what we can afford as we have purposely tried to work away from monetizing the FTSG.

Many thanks to Kevin Cotton and Torsten Heinze, the principals of FlexScape, our content management provider.  Through their support, they have kept this process affordable and who we have worked with since the early 2000’s.

But perhaps most importantly, thanks to you! our reader, and hopefully active supporter of our game, for all the feedback and inspiration that has led this, less than qualified, Dyslexic editor to remain inspired to share this email with you every Saturday Morning!
