 - After 54 Holes, Bryce Haney has opened an 8 shot lead over the nearest competitors. Bryce's round of 66 included birdies on 2, 5, 11, 13, 15 & 17 with no bogeys on is card. In second place, are the pair of Brandon Judy and 2010 Champion, Jeff Scohy. Bryce's Round was one of only three rounds under par, Connor Lash and Ben Herman each fired a one under par 71. Rounding out the Top Ten are Nathan Arnold at +1, Connor Lash at +2 and in a tie for sixth at +3, are Brian Arlinghaus, Zach Crawford and Jake North. In ninth place, is our 2020 Mid Amateur Champion, Matt Dippold, followed by the group of Ben Herman, Caleb Westfall, 2015 Metro Champ, Pete Betzold and 1st Round Leader Cody Cogdill. The Golf Course, continues to get firmer and faster with no rain now for almost a week and the tireless effort of Terry Taylor, Justin Cron, and their turf staff at the GC of Yankee Trace in their preparation of the course. Tomorrow's round may see a little rain which could soften the course and drive scores a little lower. In today's round, Hole #2 was pushed way up to just over 300 yards. This pushed the difficulty of #2 from the 2nd hardest to the 8th most difficult. Tomorrow we anticipate moving the tee up on #17 to allow for some volatility in the final round.
