Pete Samborsky will be one of three representing the Ohio Team in the USGA Men’s Team Championships at the Woodlands in Texas, September 18-20. The other two players are Jason Gerken from Logan and Wes Homan from Cincinnati. The Biennial State Team Championships were begun in 1995 as part of the USGA’s Centennial celebration that year. Three player teams from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico are invited to play three rounds of stroke play in which the two lowest scores of each team count for their daily total. The team with the lowest total through 54 holes is the champion.
