Junior Metro to resume Wednesday at 8:00 AM

The Junior Metropolitan Currently Under a Weather Suspension

At 5:00 PM this afternoon play was suspended for the second time in the MVGA Junior Metropolitan because of bad weather. Because of the late time and the fact that the golf course was extremely wet, the players were sent home with the hopes of resuming play early Wednesday morning. After consulting the head professional, Jim Neff, and the golf course superintendent, Gary Price, the decision was made to continue the first round at 8:00 AM on Wednesday. Players on the course when play was suspended should be in position on the course at that time to start play. The hole locations will remain the same as today until all groups have finished the first round. We are asking that parents and friends who are on hand assist us with moving the players onto the golf course.

The second round of play will also begin at that time on the #1 tee. We will not repair the groups. You will have the same tee time as you had today. The hole locations will be changed ahead of the groups playing from the first tee. Players coming off the course after finishing their first round will have approximately an hour wait to begin their second round.

Of course, all of these plans are weather dependent and the Gary will make every effort to have the course playable as early as possible.

If you have taken your scorecard home with you, please make sure that you bring it with you in the morning. Put it in your golf bag right now so that you will not forget it!
