| Sycamore wins the inaugural interclub | August 18, 2018 |
 The Inaugural MVGA Interclub teed off this past April with eight clubs playing each other to determine the top four teams. Those top four clubs then proceeded into a Match Play Championship. In the Semi Finals, NCR defeated Sugar Valley 10.5 to 1.5 and Sycamore Creek narrowly defeated Piqua 6.5 to 5.5.
The finals where held this past Tuesday and Sycamore Creek solidly defeated NCR to capture the first title 10.5 to 1.5.
But the real story is not that Sycamore Creek won the title, and the little Green Jug that they will keep in their clubhouse until next year. No, the real story is how the Club embraced these matches.
Over these nine matches, which featured both net and gross contests, they had over forty different players involved. They say it takes a village and Sycamore Creek had a great village.

| REGISTER NOW FOR THE SENIOR METROPOLITAN & MID AM |
 The Senior Metropolitan and Mid Am will be held at Miami Valley Golf Club on Tuesday, September 4 and Wednesday, September 5. Tee Times will begin at 8am and run until late morning or early afternoon.
There are four divisions of play. Mid Am (25-49) Overall Senior (50 & Over) and Ages 64-74 & 75 and Older.

| FALL CLASSIC celebrates community ladies |
 Every year, for their seasons final event, the DDWGA recognizes a significant contributor to the women's game in our district. Past recipients include Alice Burton, Betty McCann, Diana Schwab, Janet Beardsley, Jinx Walther Fensel, Donna 'Mac' Maciukevicius, Ruth Pickrel and last year the DDWGA Founders on there Silver Anniversary.
This year they has chosen to recognize the Women's Organization at Community Golf Course as they Celebrate their 100th Anniversary. Most ladies in our golf community have spent some time on the links of the Hills and Dales and the ladies that have been apart of this special group have always been very strong advocates for our great game.
The DDWGA Fall Classic, will be held this Monday, August 20th and it's gets underway with a 9am Shotgun at Walnut Grove. The event features, 18 Holes of 1 Net and 1 Gross Better Ball Play from four (4) person teams.
Teams consisting of four ladies representing the same club will be competing for an extra prize: a traveling trophy to be displayed at their club for the next year. The annual Low Net and Low Gross award will also be up for grabs for the Pin Winners that are in the field.

 We're sure both gentlemen would have preferred a better number to make it into the top sixty four. However, a week in Monterrey and playing Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill will be a lifetime highlight for them no matter how far they go in the game.
The Semi Finals are today and get underway at noon on Fox.

| AERATION TIME OF YEAR AGAIN |
 We all hate it, yes even our course turf leadership and crews who perform the task. But it is a fundamental need for our golf courses. Generally most courses start to complete this task in late August, September or October and they do everything there resources allow to get the greens back in shape as quickly as they can.
