 What a great day for golf it was at Browns Run Country Club where 68 women competed in the DDWGA’s Twin Best Ball. What started as a chilly, foggy morning turned into one of the best days of golf we have had all year. With the great weather and a few teams showing up in some lovely team attire, it turned out to be a wonderful day.The gross winning team was made up of Kathy Ingersoll, Cathy Jefferson, Tee Pazitney and Molly Horstman. They shot a three-under-par total of 141 to claim first place over Daryl Nels, Cynthia Pratt, Donna Stafford and Eunhee Felts who shot a one-over-par total of 145. Great job ladies! In the net division, our first flight champions were Becky Krakowski, Karen Watson, Angie Degenhart and Linda Becher. Leading the way in the second flight was the team of Evie Freimuth, Mary Anne Parker, Nancy Kussman and Patricia Whisler who shot 24 under par. Congrats! Following the round, the ladies enjoyed a great dinner prepared by the staff at Browns Run while Cynthia Pratt and Cathy Ingersoll capped off the event with a few words about the upcoming events and the awards presentation. We would like to thank entire staff at Browns Run, all of our competitors for making the event so much fun for everyone.
