The 2003 Senior Metropolitan Championship |

The 2003 Senior Metro was held at Troy Country Club on October 9 & 10, 2003. The event was originally scheduled for September 4 & 5, 2003 but was postponed due to heavy rains. The weather for the event was ideal for the championship with highs in the low 70’s.
Jack Sayers won the championship with a two day total of 136, 4 under par. His rounds of 70-66 outdistanced the field by 6 shots. His second round got started with a front nine score of 29.
The event also crowned champions in three age divisions. Bob Eardley beat John Harm on the first playoff hole in the age 50-59 division. The first round co-leader Paul Dudding added a second round 74 to his first round 69 score to win the age 60-69 division and Harry Murray could not match his first round 77 and lost to Barry Baumgardner in the 70 and older division. The 2004 Senior Metro will be Held at Twin Base Golf Club on September 9 & 10. |
