 2013 Women's Amateur Championship
The Dayton District Women's Golf Association is proud to host the 2013 Women's Amateur Championship from Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12 at Community Golf Center on the Hills Course.  The championship will be played in two formats; stroke play will be taking place Monday and Tuesday, and the competitor's scores will determine their seed for the match play championship beginning on Wednesday and ending on Friday.

The Hills Course at Community Golf Center has a long history of holding championships, dating all the way back to the United States Amateur Public Links in 1924, won by Joseph Coble.  That history can still be felt today as the blue grass fairways and classical greens are overlooked by the statue of John Patterson on the north end of the property.

Last year's Amateur was held at Greene Country Club.  Jessie Jordan shot 75, 74 to claim the open division stoke play title, while Tee Pazitney claimed the senior title.  The late Diana Schwab won the super senior division, and Jamie Witt won the first flight title.  Becky Parr, Angie Degenhart, and Kelsey Auditore tied for low honors in the second flight division.  The runner-up of the stroke play championship, Madison Musick, claimed the match play title, defeating Molly Ginger with a 3 & 2 victory.

Musick will be defending her title, and will have to fend off 24 other players to do so.  Monday tee times begin at 8:00 am.  Good luck to all the players in the field!
