- Max Watson, from Ashland, won The 115th Ohio Amateur yesterday at Avalon Lakes Country Club in Warren.  He did so by birding the first playoff hole over Dayton's own Dhaivat Pandya, when they both tied at -3 after 72 holes.

Those from our area finishing strong, in a tie for 4th Jordan Gilkison and Luke Wells, finishing in 8th alone was two time Metropolitan Champion, Josh Gilkison, coming back from an opening 80 and finishing in a tie for 18th playing the remaining 54 holes at minus two was Tyler Goecke.  

Others from our area making the 54 Hole cut was past Metro Champion, Jeff Scohy in a tie for 21st, Grant Engle in a tie for 31st and Mason Witt in a toe for 36th.
