Renee Powell Joins Lee Elder -

Others_Join_Lee_ElderIt is an great to see fellow Ohioan and Northern Ohio PGA member, Renee Powell, representing Black PGA Professionals at the Master’s Kick-Off that honored the First African American to play in The Masters, Lee Elder.

Lee Elder joined Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player as honorary starters with Renee and fellow PGA Professionals just off the tee to honor Elder's achievements.

“Lee Elder’s message was that the game of golf belongs to all of us,” said Augusta National Chairman, Fred Ridley, while introducing Elder.

From Lee Elder, to Renee Powell, to Charlie Sifford, to Dewey Brown, the world has seen true trail blazers who have continued to break barriers in the game of golf and beyond.

Our Golf My Future My Game summer programming will visit Dr. Powell at her families course this summer, Clearview Golf Course on June 16th.
