Backing up his first-round 67 with a second-round 65,
Tyler Goecke moved into the lead at 10 under par, opening a 3-shot lead.
Throughout his two rounds, Tyler has yet to make a bogey. Timmy Hollenbeck, a
WSU golfer, also fired a 65 in the second round, making 7 birdies against one
lone bogey on the par-3 8th hole, moving him into second place. Aiden Wilhelm,
in third place, and Brock Rumpke, in fourth, each shot a second-round 69. The
only other under-par round was a 70 by Scott Thompson. The cut fell at +9, with 36 players making it the
final 36 holes. The hardest hole of the day was the par-4, 455-yard 12th hole,
while the easiest continued to be the first hole. The second round played
slightly over half a stroke harder at 77.63, compared to Thursday's first-round
score of 76.95. Hole #14 was adjusted to make the normally short par-4
driveable, resulting in only one eagle. Hole #5, a par-3, was pushed back to
play at 240 yards, increasing scores and making it the second hardest-ranked
hole of the day. Tee times will begin at 7:30 A.M. and conclude with
the leaders teeing off at 9:31 A.M. Spectators are welcome to attend. Today's
round has been posted to the competitors' handicap records as a Competition
