 The DDWGA will host their annual Twin Best Ball Event on Monday, June 24th at Troy Country Club. There will be 3 flights of play with the low gross and two low net teams being awarded in each flight.

| The Mercedes Benz Dealer Championship |
 The Mercedes-Benz Dealer Championship is part of a nationwide amateur-only championship for men and women, 21 years and older, and thanks to many of you, the proceeds of this event are able to make a difference in our community!.
This Years Event will be held at Moraine CC on Monday, August 12th. There are two formats of play to chose from. 1 - Individual Play with the low gross and low net scorer (Using 75% of CH) qualifying for the Eastern National Final at Pinehurst, October 26-29th 2 - Team Scramble For More Information or to Register |
| Summer Junior League at Kittyhawk |
 All ages are welcome ages 10-18. The League will begin on Wednesday, June 26 and run every Wednesday and Friday. Tee times will run between 11am and 1pm. The Falcon and Hawk Courses will be played depending on age.

| MVGA Interclub Update |
 This has been a very difficult year to get the matches in, because of this, we have decided to add an extra week to to the regular season. Therefore, all matches will now need to be reported by Sunday, August 4th. The first round playoff results will have a reporting deadline of Sunday, August 18th with the finals being completed by September 1st. To View the Current Standing |
| routing change for the Metro (VIDEO) |
 To provide a better finish for the Metropolitan the course's routing will be adjusted for the Championship.
Play will still began off of #1, but after #2 the next hole will be #12. Play will continue through #18 and then turn to #10. After #11 the next hole will be #3 allowing for the finish to be on what is #9.
Thanks to the members and staff at Dayton CC for hosting the 100th anniversary of our area's amateur championship on the golf course where it all began when Vin Hilton (Road Named after him next to Community GC) captured the first one at DCC in 1919.

| Championship Volunteer Opportunities |
 Each year many volunteers help make our State and Local Championships run smoothly and fill an important role in the reporting of scores to the golf community. These volunteer positions require about a half day time commitment and provide an opportunity to watch really good golf, on some truly outstanding courses.
As a way of thanking you for your time, we will provide an Association logo'ed Hat and Lunch.
The technology used to report the score is through an app called USGA Tournament Management and is very easy to download and install on your phone. (We offer support as needed on site)

 Congratulations to five time Metropolitan and Current MVGA Mid Am Championship, Pete Samborsky for his T2 finish in this past weeks Ohio Mid Amateur Championship which was played at Findlay Country Club. Also finishing in the top ten from our area was Jeff Scohy who finished in a tie for 8th Place.

 Strong Play has highlighted Austin's Competitive Rounds this season. The graduate of Vandalia Butler and incoming freshman at the University of North Carolina just qualifier for the US Junior Amateur on Thursday.
