| The Celebration ENDS OUR TOURNAMENT SEASON |
 The Celebration is this upcoming Monday at Dayton CC. After play in this variable best ball is completed, we will present our season ending awards, recognize individuals who have distinguished themselves through their service and award our winning team the Celebration Crystal named in recognition of MVGA's late president Dr. Philip C. Hughes.

Team MVGA finished 2nd in the 18th Playing of the Ohio IntraState held yesterday at Shawnee CC in Lima, OH and hosted by our friends from the Toledo District Golf Association.
Winning the Ohio IntraState for the 3rd time was the team from the Northern Ohio Golf Association.
Representing team MVGA was Lori Schroeder, Ryan Groff, Ron Eubel, Grace Nikolia, Pete Betzold and Brandon Johnson.

| Beginning in 2020 a brand-new set of Rules for Handicapping will be introduced globally. |
 Your Handicap Index may change - But that’s ok! Finally, players around the world will have an apples-to-apples handicap. Your new Handicap Index will be more responsive to good scores by averaging your EIGHT best scores out of your most recent 20 (currently, it’s 10 out of 20 with a .96 multiplier). In short, your Handicap Index will be determined by your demonstrated ability and consistency of scores. In most cases for golfers in the U.S., it will change less than one stroke.

| Great Feats in Golf |
 We lost one of area's legendary players when Carl Bidwell passed this past week at the age of 83. Carl won numerous championships both at NCR and throughout his many years of competitive play. He was inducted in the Dayton Golf Hall of Fame in 1998 and routinely posted a score better than his age carrying a 7.1 index through his last rounds of golf in May. |
