 Next Saturday we will be offering a Complimentary World Handicap Seminar at Sugar Valley Golf Club. This Seminar will start at 10am and wrap up before noon with an optional lunch for an additional fee upon the seminars conclusion.

| MVGA Players Championship Contest |
 Thanks to MVGA Member, Alex Huang, we will be a adding all of the "Majors" into our contest pools this 2020 season. So....To start out, we will have a contest for this upcoming weeks, "5th Major" the Players Championship. This pool will be run using a Google Form and you will receive an email with your selections.
The winner will receive 4 dozen personalized Titleist Golf Balls, brand of their choosing, and the second and third place finishers will receive some MVGA swag.
Selections will be taken until 6am on Thursday, March 12th.

| YOUTH ON COURSE AUCTION ITEM - URBANA CC |
 This week we continue our weekly auctions to raise dollars to support our Foundation's Youth on Course Program.
The item for this week is a Round of Four (4) with Carts at the Dye Original - Urbana CC. There will be some time restrictions based on course availability.
If you ever wanted to play this Champaign Gem this is an excellent opportunity while supporting our next generation of golfers.

 Ever wonder what it would be like to grow up at Augusta National Golf Club and be mentored from a very early age by the Legendary Freddie Bennett their caddie master?
Well our guest speaker did...and he wrote a wonderful book about the experience "Freddie and Me" and he his coming to share his years with Freddie at Moraine CC on Sunday, April 5th from 2-4pm, the weekend before the Masters!
This event is open to anyone and there will be no registration fee to attend but you must register. To Register

Nutrition for Injury Recovery |
 After an injury, the body works extremely hard to repair damaged tissue through a three-stage process: Inflammation, Proliferation, and Remodeling. Inflammation is necessary to promote healing to the injured area, but too much can cause additional damage.
How would we increase inflammation to the point of causing more damage? Through diet! To prevent an increase in inflammation, we should eat foods that are anti-inflammatory such as olive oil, avocados, fish oil, flax oil, fatty fish, and nuts and seeds. It is also important to decrease intake of foods that promote inflammation like processed foods that are high in saturated fats or trans fats and vegetable oils (corn, sunflower, safflower, and soybean oils). | 2020 Play More Golf Challenge |
 Back by popular demand for the second season...The 2020 Season Challenge to post more rounds of golf during our active season than you did in 2019.
The Grand Prize will be a $750 Gift Certificate to the Miami Valley Golf Shop of the winners choosing.
The drawing will be held in early December. Chances for wining the Grand Prize will increase based on the number of scores posted over their 2019 total.
To be eligible you must have posted at least 5 rounds in 2019.

| The Online Certification consists of four educational video segments, with each segment made available after the previous one has been viewed. | After all segments have been completed an Open Book, 20 question quiz will take place with 16 or more correct answers needed to attain Certification. | | You can take this quiz as many times as you like to achieve certification.

| COLLEGE GOLF RECAP |
 UD Ladies - KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - The University of Dayton women's golf team wrapped played at the 2020 Kiawah Island Classic Tuesday finishing in 37th place out of 53 participating teams. The Flyers posted a team score of 320-303-309=932 (+68) and sophomore Sarah Frazier was the squad's top finisher in a tie for 84th place overall (79-72-76=227, +11).
