Your Miami Valley Golf is once again honored to host the Sectional Qualifier for the US Women's Amateur this Thursday, July 12th at Walnut Grove CC.  WGCC will play to a par of 72 and a yardage of 6300.  76 ladies from 16 states and four counties will be playing for six qualifying positions in the championship proper to be held August 6-12th at the Golf Club of Tennessee in Kingston Springs, Tenn.

Locals in the field include, 2017 Women's Metro Champion, Alyssa Buritt, Ellie Cronin, Amanda Hayes, Rhine Morland, Madison Walters and Emily Knouff.

Last Year, an Even Par Round of 72, played off for the final qualifying positions. 

Thanks to Walnut Grove for hosting and all the Volunteers who help make this qualifier one of the best in the nation.  Spectators are welcomed and encourage to attend.

When the USGA announced the establishment of the U.S. Senior Women’s Open in 2015, the impetus was to serve golfers of every demographic. From July 12-15 at Chicago Golf Club, many of the pioneers who helped transform women’s golf will once again have the opportunity to compete for a national championship.

The field for this year’s championship includes 61 exempt players, 16 of which have won the U.S. Women’s Open.  Many names you will recognize in the field including Jane Geddes who won the US Women's Open when it was hosted at NCR CC in 1986
