Short Grass for Memorial Day Weekend

46th Ohio Junior World is Tuesday

The 46th Playing of the Ohio Junior World will take place on Tuesday, May 28th at NCR Country Club. Over 90 players will compete for qualifying positions in the Junior World to be held July 8-12 in San Diego, CA

Boys ages 15-18 will play the South Course while all the other age divisions will play the North Course. Tee Times begin at 8am

The Qualifier for the 113th Ohio Amateur to be held July 9-12th will be held this Tuesday, May 28th at Dayton CC. 113 players will play for 29 Qualifying Positions. Tee Times begin at 8am

Volunteer assignments for the US Open Sectional are now available. Volunteers should have received an email on Friday, but if not you can view and confirm your assignments on the US Open Sectional Website.

DDWGA Shamble Review

A great time was had by many in the DDWGA's first event of the 2019 Season, the Spring Shamble held at Sugar Valley Golf Club in Bellbrook, OH. Thanks to all those who played and the Sugar Valley members and staff for their hospitality.

Field is Set for the US Open Sectional

The US Open Sectional Qualifier will be held at Springfield Country Club on Monday, June 3rd. The first tee time is 7am in this 36 Hole Qualifier. 73 Competitors composed of 28 Amateurs and 45 Professionals are in the field. Thanks to Springfield Country Club and the Springfield Community for all they do for this Final Stop on the #RoadtoPebbleBeach

Did you know, that all the course results are reported through MiamiValleyGolf.org? Then Miami Valley Golf aggregates them, list them here and forwards them onto the Dayton Daily News. This process has been going on for almost a decade now and was put in place because of all the changes within the Dayton Daily News. So if you look in the paper and don't see the result you are looking for, if it was submitted, you can find it here.

Rounds Challenge Review

Over 200 Area Golfers registered for the 2019 Rounds Challenge to play more golf this year than last. The Grand Prize is a $750 Gift Certificate to the Miami Valley Golf Shop of the winners choosing. The drawing will be held in early December for those who registered for this challenge and posted more rounds of golf in 2019. As a reminder golfer's chances for wining the Grand Prize will increase based on the number of scores posted over their 2018 total.

Golf teaches important social, mental, and physical skills and each round is filled with learning potential. Providing youth with access to affordable golf is the core of what YOC does. Youth on Course members play golf at hundreds of participating courses for $5 or less, a number of them right here in the Miami Valley.

Get a Girl Golfing Registration Now Open

Kittyhawk will host on Friday, June 14th.

To honor Diana Schwab's memory, her commitment to junior girls golf, the DDWGA back in 2013 decided to continue on with the Get a Girl Golfing clinic to honor Diana Schwab's legacy.

This FREE event is intended to introduce young ladies to the game in a fun non threatening introductory manner.

Clubs will be provided if golfers do not have their own. Lunch will also be provided and the session runs from 9am to Noon.
