- What can be said about our Player of the Year that we all don’t know about, he's a rising star in our game and his future certainly has unlimited potential.  He skipped defending his Ohio Amateur Championship this summer as he was invited to participate 120th Western Amateur, in that Championship he lost in the Semifinalists to the Eventual Champion.  Next, he qualified for the US Amateur in West Virginia in record fashion, then, showing full control of his game he qualified for Match Play and went on win all of Matches and was 3up through 27 holes before losing on the 35th hole in this Summer's US Amateur at Oakmont.
